Our Top Priority: Precision, Functionality, and Long-Lasting Performance
For many years, we have been continuously refining our dampers with great care and technical expertise. The result: top-tier quality, maximum reliability, and exceptional durability — even under the most extreme conditions.
External Reservoir
Reiger’s iconic purple reservoir has been a staple in off-road racing for decades, consistently proving its reliability in the most demanding competitions. Its large, finned surface ensures exceptional heat dissipation while giving it a unique and instantly recognizable appearance.
Each reservoir is tailormade for its specific application in terms of dimensions, fin count, and depth to deliver optimal performance - even in tight installation spaces.
This reservoir is not only a key visual element of Reiger’s identity, but also a functional differentiator - setting Reiger apart from the competition both in design and performance.
Aluminum Parts
The housings of most dampers, all of our valve blocks, and many other components like eyelets or the reservoir are made from aluminum.
Aluminum offers excellent thermal conductivity, ensuring consistently high damper performance even under heavy impacts. It is over 60% lighter than steel, significantly reducing the overall weight of the damper.
At the same time, aluminum's natural corrosion resistance contributes to long-lasting durability, even in extreme weather conditions. Its lower strength compared to steel is compensated by using thicker wall sections. Wherever possible, we choose aluminum for its favorable properties and the possibilities to machine the most complex parts in house.
In cases where aluminum does not provide sufficient strength, we use high-strength steel instead.
Seal Package
Our low friction seal packages are used in every single dampers, in various configurations. They combine maximum protection and sealing performance through a wide temperature range. Thanks to their minimal friction, they offer excellent sensitivity and feedback - even during low-impact events.
Originally designed for the most demanding conditions, we transfer our knowledge to all sealing packages we use.
